BACKGROUND TO VISIONAIRES FOUNDATION

A group of young professionals and students headed by Scofray Nana Yaw Yeboah decided to create a platform for  transformation and awareness to bring back the glory of mother Africa by equipping themselves, this generation and that to come  with intellectual, technical and moral training required to play a vital role in the transformation and socio-economic development of Africa.

The birth of VISIONAIRES FOUNDATION (VF) is a response to the deep-seated socio-economic problems facing the Ghanaian/African youth as a result of numerous factors, internal and external, historical and contemporary – colonialism, neo-colonialism, distortion of history (and facts about the coloured man “Blackman”) tribal strife, political instability, endemic corruption, irresponsible political leadership and the onslaught of western culture and life-style.

The levels of social, ethical, moral, cultural degradation, unemployment and crime have soared to epidemic proportions over the years.

This has created a general feeling of hopelessness and despondency, especially amongst the youth, women & children and the less privileged. The result is the morbid fear that Ghana and Mother Africa might never see the dawn of middle-income status and the status of a developed continent.

INTRODUCTION

Seven competent and knowledgeable members of Staff with occasional volunteer input run the Foundation.  Our strategies are rooted in character building, unearthing and development of potential, building excellent leadership traits and awareness creation in the youth for the betterment of Ghana and Africa.
